Recovery

After jail, once free of the D.C. judges, I joined my child and my parents in New Zealand. It is a spectacular country and treated us wonderfully. We became citizens but in time., we all returned to the U.S.A., my child and I last, once we were sure that we were safe from the D.C. judges. I rebuilt my career and my child grew up a gifted, wise, happy and successful person with a loving family. For myself, partially retired from surgery, recovered from the past and married to a wonderful man, I can at last tell the story of my amazing and often tragic experiences in the D.C. jail not from memory but from my diary. The jail – unlike most jails and prisons at the time – let me keep one and it ran to 250,000 words by the time I walked out of the D.C. ail.
